Majchrzak Raises Trophy at Eddie Herr; Eddie Herr Day 7 Recap

On the final day of play at IMG Bollettieri Academy in Bradenton, Florida, Kamil Majchrzak (POL) ended Andrey Rublev's (RUS) singles winning streak at Bollettieri by winning the championship match 7-6 (4), 6-7 (4), 7-6 (5). Rublev's winning streak was at 10 matches, going back through Eddie Herr (5 matches) and the USA F31 Futures (5 matches). Rublev last lost in singles at Bollettieri when he lost in the first round of qualifying in the 18's last year at Eddie Herr as the 6 seed to Gerardo Lopez Villasenor (MEX) 7-6, 4-6, 6-2. This is Majchrzak's first ITF Grade 1 singles title, but he does have a US Open Junior Doubles title to his name with American Martin Redlicki.
