Both Americans knocked out, one more standing; US Open Day 6 Recap

After watching the first two sets of Rafael Nadal's match yesterday, I'm not to sure if anyone is going to be able to beat him. Ivan Dodig (Croatia) played some excellent tennis but of course was not enough to get past the number 2 ranked player in the world. Whatever Dodig handed Nafal, Nadal gave him even more back. Nadal went on to win 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 and will play German Phillip Kohlschreier in the 4th Round.

Speaking of Kohlschreiber, him and Serbian Janko Tipsarevic took out both Americans in the bottom of the draw, beating John Isner and Jack Sock respectively. 2010 US Open Junior Champion Sock played Tipsarevic very well after winning the first set 6-3 and getting to a second set tiebreak at 6-6. After that though, it was all downhill from Sock as he lost the tiebreak 7-1, and the next two sets 6-1, 6-2. Tipsarevic will play Spaniard David Ferrer in the 4th round.

I went 6-2 on Saturday and here are my picks for Sunday and 70-33 overall as there is only one American left in the Men's Singles Draw (Tim Smyczek):

Djokovic vs. Sousa
Smyczek vs. Granollers
Haas vs. Youzhny
Donosky vs. Hewitt
Murray vs. Mayer
Seppi vs. Istomin
Wawrinka vs. Baghdatis
Benneteau vs. Berdych

Have a Great Day,
Fry That Chicken
